Stitching Kit Christmas Cards

Hello Crafters,

I brought a retired stitching kit from Stampin' Up! for £8.70 which makes 18 Christmas cards. I did not have the original stamps they used on the kit but found few of mine that fitted.

The cards above are the cards you make from the kit. But you know me not wanting to waste anything.

These two cards I made by cutting around the waste trees and stars after your pressed thm out fir the originsl cards.  You only get 6 flags and an extra two banners but I cut my on and they look ok. So I managed to make another 12 tree cards and 6 star cards.

But then you get 18 envelope inserts, I do not put inserts in my envelopes so they became card fronts.  And I made another 18 cards.

So all in all 54 cards made out of a pack for 18 cards and all for under a tenner.

I still have a couple of the kits left if anyone would like to buy one.

Thank you for looking at my blog.

Silver Foil

Hello Crafters,

Well as I had the embosing folders out I thought I would have a play with some silver foil.

If you have thin foil back it with a piece of card so that the foil does not rip. Yep I did manage to do that so pinched some out the kitcen which was thicker which worked better.

I went over the leaves folder with embossing ink and black embossing powder.

Butterfly Embossing Folder

Hello Crafters!

Just a simple sentiment, an embossing folder and some cut outs make a simple but stunning card.

Loving the glimmer card as it adds a sparkle touch which just finishes off the card.

Thinlets

Hello Crafters,

Love the thinlets and now have a box of all different cut outs that I can use for embellishments on any cards or use them to make the cards like the three cards here.

So you do not need to worry about stamping, just cut and play.

Flourish Thinlets

Hello Crafters!

After cutting out some flourishes I couldnt resist keeping and using the negatives I had.

I layered the back of the cut out with some coloured card, added a bit of glimmer card and a sentiment and I fell in love with them even more.

Thank you for looking at my blog.

Happy Birthday Thinlet

Hello Crafters,

Saw this layout on the internet and thought I would give it a try.

Lining the sentiments up were the hardest as I kept getting them sloping one way or another. But eventually managed to get a few straight.

Watercolor Christmas Project kit card final

Hello Crafters,

These are the final cards  I made from the Watercolor Chrstmas Project kit. That is a total of 35 cards from a card pack that makes 20, what a bargin.

The red card used up the final bits of green card I had left and the Noel card used the gold envelope inserts which I still have 16 left so plenty more to use on other cards.

Thank you for looking at my blog.

Watercolour Christmas Project Kit cards part 1

Hello Crafters,

Well these were the first cards I made from the kit.  I am not one to waste a printed back of a card, so I cut the card in half and used both sides, hence why these cards are mounted onto a white card (all except the holly wreath as the back of that card was white).

I made these from the instructions (included in the kit).

Tomorrow you will see the first of my makes from the rest of the card.

You can use your own Christmas sentiment stamps or buy the stamp set that co-ordinates with the kit.

Either way you will have 20 lovely cards.  Or if you are like me, I have made 35 cards out of this kit and I will show you my makes over the next couple of days.
